The best gift for yourself this holiday season.

Many colorful presents neatly arranged on a table, waiting to be unwrapped with excitement.

Finding a gift for yourself this holiday season is challenging without compromising your cash flow for other expenses. While some people don't mind splurging a hefty amount of money to reward their "hard work" at the year's end, most people want to save more and prepare for what lies ahead.

I was one of those people who wanted to "save," and here are the three gifts I gave to myself this year that I wanted to share with you:

A neatly made bed with crisp white sheets and plump pillows, inviting relaxation and comfort.

1) Get more sleep. Yes, you deserve 8-12 hours of sleep this holiday season! Recharge yourself by getting enough rest after braving those sleepless nights, and be ready for more action in the future.

2) Exercise. I recently discovered how exercise could boost your productivity at work. Since I started working out, I felt a significant amount of energy that kept me going, no matter how challenging it was at work. While projects are slowly moving this holiday season, make use of your time by going to a gym and getting some sweat out of your body!

3) Spend quality time with family and friends. Start working on your calendar and plan some time out with your family and friends. It doesn't have to be extravagant; a trip to a nearby park usually works best (considering the heavy traffic these days). Get some time off your weekend and invite your friends for a drink or a sleepover. Time to remind yourself that you deserve some fun!

Happy holidays!
